Nobel Peace Prize awarded to Ethiopian PM

The award of the Nobel Peace Prize to Dr Abiy Ahmed is a fitting recognition of his efforts to promote peaceful relations, not only between Ethiopia and Eritrea but also between different ethnic groups within Ethiopia. Unfortunately, however, the occasion has been marred by reports of indiscriminate and dehumanising violence being used by Ethiopian army units against their fellow citizens in the Omo Valley.
